The format of HBL PSL is set to be the same as the previous seasons. A total of 34 matches are scheduled, including the final and semi-final, and each one of the PSL teams will play two matches in a round-robin format.

• Friday Double Matches: 3:00 PM & 8:00 PM (PKT)
• Other Days Double Matches: 2:00 PM & 7:00 PM (PKT)
• Single Matches: 7:00 PM (PKT)
• The Evening Matches in Multan will Start at 6:00 PM (PKT) Except for the Opening Match of the Tournament which

PCB has announced the Schedule; Single headers matches will start at 7 PM. Therefore, double header matches other than Friday will start at 2 PM and 7 PM, and Friday’s double header matches will start at 3 PM & 8 PM.

PSL 9 2023 Squad Rules

1. Each PSL team must build a squad comprising a minimum of 16 players and can expand it to a maximum of 18 players.
2. The squad structure follows a set sequence: three Platinum, three Diamond, three Gold, five Silver, two emerging, and two supplementary players (optional).
3. During the first nine picks, each team can select a maximum of three foreign players.
4. A 16-player squad must consist of five foreign players and eleven local players.
5. An 18-player squad can have twelve local players and either six foreign players or thirteen local players with five foreign players.
6. In the playing 11, teams can field a maximum of four foreign players or have three foreign players in their squad.

When PSL 2024 will start?

Pakistan Super League is one of the most followed cricket leagues. Cricket fans worldwide are waiting for the official schedule announcement from PCB. Therefore, PCB has announced that the start date of PSL 2024 is 17 February to 18 March 2024. All matches of HBL PSL 9 are scheduled inside Pakistan.

PSL 9 Official Opening Ceremony

The inaugural ceremony for PSL 9 is set to take place at the Lahore Gadaffi Cricket Stadium on 17 February, 2024.

Ali Zafar, Aima Baig, Noori, Leo Twins, Arif Lohar, and Natasha Baig will perform. There will be laser and light show also, so book your tickets and get read to experience the power pack first day of the HBL PSL 9.

How many teams will be there in PSL 2024?

PSL started in 2016 with six teams; later, in 2018, PCB successfully added a new team, “Multan Sultans,” into the league. Therefore, after completing 8 successful seasons of PSL, six teams will participate in the PSL 9. Drafts of PSL players have been completed and will start from 17 February to 18 March 2024, accordingly.
