BCCI is Unlikely to Change the Auction Date for IPL 2023

According to recent reports, it is said that Despite Multiple Franchises Requests, BCCI is Unlikely to Change the Auction Date for IPL 2023. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), India’s cricket governing body, is unlikely to accept specific teams’ requests to change the date of the mini-auction.

According to a report, many clubs have asked that the December 23 auction date be delayed due to Christmas. A senior BCCI official claims that due to “logistical issues,” the board is “unlikely” to adopt the idea. The auction will currently take place in Kochi as planned.

Some franchise executives will be on vacation during Christmas, a BCCI official said. However, they are likely to keep the date the same.

“Auction planning entails a significant amount of logistics. Changing the date would need redoing everything,” says the report.

Because seven out of ten teams have foreign head coaches, clubs want the auction delayed. Lacking their attendance at the auction might be a massive setback for the teams. However, requiring their head coaches to plan for the upcoming tournament. The teams also have foreign influence in many other areas.
