Lets the party begin as Royal Challengers Bangalore trade Jason Behrendorff to Mumbai Indians as the first trade of TATA IPL 2023. At INR 75 lakh base price, he was acquired by RCB in the TATA IPL Auction in 2022, and now RCB trade Jason Behrendorff to Mumbai Indians
Note: During his time with Mumbai in 2018 and 2020, the left-arm fast bowler played only five games. Australia’s left-arm fast bowler Jason Behrendorff will return to the team he was initially acquired by at the 2022 auction.
Behrendorff has played in the IPL for the last five years. He spent four of the last five years on the bench. From 2018 to 2020, he was with Mumbai Indians in the 2018 season but did not play because of a back injury. Then, he got the chance to play in the 2019 season. That year, he picked up five wickets in as many games at an economy rate of 8.68.
The Chennai Super Kings drafted him as a replacement for Josh Hazlewood in 2021. Later Hazlewood returned after the tournament resumed in UAE after not playing in the first half. And now RCB trade Jason Behrendorff to Mumbai Indians.
Throughout his career, Behrendorff has picked up 117 wickets at an economy rate of 7.41 in 105 T20Is. The Perth Scorchers and Western Australia are both currently listed as teams in Australian domestic cricket under Behrendorff’s name.
Against India at the Sydney Cricket Ground, the left-arm bowler took two wickets on his One Day International (ODI) debut on 12 January 2019. After that, he was named to Australia’s World Cup squad in April 2019. The first five-wicket haul of Behrendorff’s ODI career came against England on 25 June 2019
