On Monday, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the ICC player of the Month winner for September 2022. The consistent performance of Pakistan wicket-keeper batsman Muhammad Rizwan made him win the ICC Player of the month award.
Moreover, Muhammad Rizwan beats the competition from ace Indian spinner Akshar Patel and Australian all-rounder Cameron Green. It’s only for his hard work and fantastic scoring streak this month.
However, Rizwan secured the Title of ICC player of the month for the first time. Muhammad Rizwan scored a staggering 553 runs from ten T20 International, including games in a Men’s Asia cup 2022 and home T20 International series, a visiting England team.
Rizwan hit seven half-centuries in 10 games played last month. His month began with two-time scores of 70+ against India and Hong Kong in the Asia Cup. He’s also the highest Run-getter in this tournament.
In the seven-match series against England, he registered four scores of 60+ runs in the first five matches and helped his side take a 3-2 lead. He hit a total of 316 runs at an average of 63.20 while going at 138.60. Moreover, Muhammad Rizwan is the top-ranked T20 batsman from Pakistan.
Rizwan said after winning the title, “I want to give my high appreciation to all my teammates as they made things easy for me. These achievements boost your confidence. I am happy with my performance and would like to take this momentum forward in Australia”.
“I would like to dedicate this award to the people in Pakistan who are affected by the floods and climate change. Hopefully, this will bring smiles to their faces”.
