BCCI is Likely to Organize the IPL 2023 Mini-Auction in Turkey

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) might conduct the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction overseas, with Istanbul being the most likely venue. The report states that a final decision is expected in the first week of November, with Bengaluru also being considered a venue. 

However, The Board of control for cricket in India (BCCI) is set to elect a new Chairman for the Indian Premier League. Brijesh Patel is to be replaced by Arun Singh Dhumal as Chairman of the Indian premier league 2023. 

In addition, Star India has won the IPL broadcasting rights for INR23,575 crore from 2023-27, while Viacom18 and Times Internet have won the IPL digital rights for the same period at INR 23,758 crores. 

“No final decision has been taken yet, but we are looking at Istanbul. We haven’t met the teams and their officials in a relaxed environment since COVID, and this way, we will be able to do that,” the BCCI official told.

“A final decision will be taken after talking to all stakeholders.” therefore, It will be a mini-auction this year. The 10 IPL franchises have been asked to submit the list of retained players by November 15, a senior official member of a franchise. 

Also, For the rest of the season, the salary cap will increase from Rs 90 to Rs 95 crore.
