What to predict more before finalizing the teams, Delhi Capitals Traded Shardul Thakur to Kolkata Knight Riders Ahead of mini-IPL Auction. According to reports by ESPN Cricinfo, Shardul Thakur was recently traded to the Kolkata Knight Riders by Delhi Capitals. The deal was in an all-cash deal on Monday, November 14.

At the 2022 IPL mega auction, Capitals bought Thakur for INR 10.75 crore ($1.433 million approx). Shardul is currently in New Zealand with the Indian ODI team.

Due to the high demand for Indian bowling all-rounders, Thakur’s former IPL team Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans, and Punjab Kings attempted to regain Thakur, but Capitals declined.

As of Tuesday, the IPL has set a deadline of November 15 for teams to finalize their list of players for retention or release. Knight Riders were the most active franchise before the trading window closed.

In another trade, Knight Riders acquired Lockie Ferguson and Rahmanullah Gurbaz from Titans, making Thakur their third player acquired via a trade.
