The BCCI Has Released the Media Rights Invitation to Tender for WIPL Seasons 2023-2027

The BCCI Has Released the Media Rights Invitation to Tender for WIPL Seasons 2023-2027. Women’s Indian Premier League Seasons 2023 and 2027 Media Rights will be offered in a competitive tender. It will be processed by the Governing Council of the IPL. In the press release, Jay Shah said:

“The detailed terms and conditions governing the tender process including eligibility requirements, process for submissions of bids, proposed media rights packages, and obligations, etc. are contained in the ‘Invitation to Tender’ (“ITT”) which will be made available on receipt of payment of non-refundable fee of INR 5,00,000 (Rupees Five Lakhs Only) plus any applicable Goods and Services Tax. The procedure to procure the ITT documents is enlisted in Annexure A to this document. The ITT will be available for purchase till December 31, 2022. “

Further in the press release on IPLt20 official site was:

“Interested parties are requested to email the details of payment made for the purchase of the ITT to [email protected], as per the procedure laid down in Annexure A. It is clarified that the ITT documents shall be shared only upon receipt of payment of the non-refundable fee as above.

Any interested party wishing to submit a bid is required to purchase the ITT. However, only those satisfying the eligibility criteria set out in the ITT and subject to the other terms and conditions set out therein shall be eligible to bid. It is clarified that merely purchasing this ITT does not entitle any person to bid.”

Note:  BCCI reserves the right to cancel or amend the bidding process at any stage in any manner at its discretion. 

Wome IPL 2023

In early April, BCCI announced the launch of a five-team Women’s IPL. BCCI is expected to host the inaugural edition of the Women’s T20 challenge tournament in March 2023. Over the past couple of years, the tournament has gained popularity and craze among cricket fans in India. There are also concerns about delaying the IPL 2023 because of Women’s IPL.

It is an incredible demonstration of the impact women’s cricket has grown over the years. Australia Women’s team is currently playing in India, and India won today’s match in front of a packed stadium. Indian women’s cricket team won by 4 runs in the super over.

Women IPL Franchise Base Price 

In WIPL, the big news is that the WIPL franchise base price will be Rs 400 crore. BCCI plans to auction five franchises for the upcoming women’s T20 league. BCCI will do this through a closed tender starting March 2023. The base price is Rs 400 crore(USD 50 million ).
